MEET ABIGAIL SHIPP
My name is Abigail Shipp, a second generation Doula and Mom to 4 children.
I was raised around all things birth, and always had the desire to serve and support women. After I started having children, and my friends started having children, that desire was reawakened! So I decided to go back to school and become a certified doula. I certified with Childbirth International and continue to hold that certification.
Currently I have been working as a doula for 8 years and have had the privilege of serving close to 100 families. I have had the experience in supporting women and their partners in a variety of births-unmedicated, medicated, cesarean, VBAC to name a few.
In 2019 I became a Certified Childbirth Educator. My focus with education is accelerated group classes and private accelerated classes. I understand families are busy! Education is power, so I want everyone to have the opportunity to access childbirth education.
My mission is for each women to leave her birth experience feeling that she was listened to, that she was part of a team who respected her wishes.
